Terms of Service

Effective: Last updated July 2026

These terms govern your use of AnalystBook. By using the service you agree to them. We may refine these terms as the product evolves; material changes will be communicated to active customers.

What this service is

AnalystBook is a research workspace for SEC filings. You use it to track filings, governance, ownership, and financials for the public companies you choose to follow, to write your own private notes alongside that data, and to ask questions of Ana, our AI research assistant, which answers from that data.

Eligibility and your account

AnalystBook is intended for users who are at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. By using the service you confirm that you meet these requirements. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Not investment advice

Nothing on AnalystBook is investment advice, a recommendation, or a solicitation to buy or sell any security. AnalystBook is not a registered investment adviser and does not provide personalised financial advice. Everything here is general information for research purposes only — it does not take account of your personal objectives or circumstances. Consider speaking with a licensed financial adviser before making any investment decision. You alone are responsible for your investment decisions.

Where the data comes from, and its accuracy

AnalystBook's data is derived from public filings (primarily SEC EDGAR) and other third-party sources. While we work to present it faithfully, we do not warrant that it is complete, accurate, current, or free of errors, and some data may be delayed. Every figure derives from its source filing — always verify anything material against the original document before relying on it.

AI-generated answers (Ana)

AnalystBook includes an AI research assistant (“Ana”) that generates written answers from the filings and data on the platform. Ana's responses are produced by an automated language model and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or mistaken — even where the underlying source is correct. Ana does not provide investment advice or buy, sell, or hold recommendations, and her answers are for research purposes only. Every answer links back to its source — always verify anything material against the original filing before relying on it. You are solely responsible for any decision you make.

AI-generated argument (Bob)

AnalystBook also includes a second AI agent (“Bob”) with a deliberately different job. Where Ana reports what the filings say, Bob argues — he takes positions, challenges your reasoning, and reasons over material you have written yourself, such as your notes and thesis. His output is opinion and argument, not verified fact, and is labelled as such in the product. It is produced by an automated language model and may be incomplete, inaccurate, one-sided, or simply wrong, including where the underlying filings are correct. Bob does not provide investment advice, does not make buy, sell, or hold recommendations, and will not tell you whether to invest in anything; declining to answer such a question is intended behaviour, not a fault. Nothing Bob writes is a personal recommendation, and it does not take account of your objectives, circumstances, or risk tolerance. His arguments are for research and reflection only, and you remain solely responsible for any decision you make.

Acceptable use

You agree to use AnalystBook for personal or internal research. You will not redistribute the data, scrape the service, attempt to access other users' data, or use the service to harass, harm, or compete against AnalystBook itself.

Your content and notes

You retain ownership of the private notes, annotations, and other content you create on AnalystBook (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and improve the service for you. We do not claim ownership of Your Content and we do not sell it. You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of what you store.

Our intellectual property

AnalystBook — including its software, design, brand and name, the “Ana” assistant, and the structured and normalised data layer we build from public sources — is our property or that of our licensors, and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the service for your own research. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the service or its data, except as expressly permitted.

Third-party services

AnalystBook relies on third-party services, including SEC EDGAR and other providers for source data and Stripe for payment processing. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or acts of these third parties. Payments are handled by Stripe and are also subject to Stripe's terms; we do not store your full card details.

Account and billing

AnalystBook is a paid service after a 14-day trial. The full subscription terms — pricing, billing cycle, cancellation, refunds — will be detailed before launch. See the Refund Policy for cancellation and refund specifics.

Service changes and availability

AnalystBook is offered on an ongoing but evolving basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, available at any particular time, or free of errors, and we may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features at our discretion. Where a change materially reduces a paid feature you rely on, we will act reasonably and in line with the Refund Policy.

Termination and suspension

You may stop using AnalystBook and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, fail to pay, or use the service in a way that risks harm to the service or to other users. On termination we may delete your account and data after a reasonable period, so you are responsible for exporting anything you wish to keep. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — such as the disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will continue to apply.

Data protection

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Please review the Privacy Policy to understand what we collect and how we use it.

No warranties

AnalystBook is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, and any warranty that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AnalystBook is not liable for any losses — financial, business, or otherwise — arising from your use of the service or reliance on the data or answers presented. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Governing law

These terms, and any dispute arising from your use of AnalystBook, are governed by the laws of Ireland, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the platform matures. Material changes will be communicated by email to active customers, and the effective date above will be revised.
